Catharine McKaig

Catharine McKaig is a seasoned professional in reproductive health and family planning with extensive experience in international programs. Currently serving as Project Director for ACCESS-FP at JHPIEGO since 2005, Catharine leads a team focused on advancing postpartum family planning across six countries. Prior to this role, Catharine worked as a Senior Advisor for Reproductive Health at CARE USA and as a Reproductive Health Coordinator/Africa Regional Coordinator at World Neighbors, where support and technical assistance were provided for community-based reproductive health programs in 16 countries. Catharine managed significant grants, including a $5 million initiative from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. Academically, Catharine holds a Doctorate in Public Health from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Master’s in Community Health Education from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
