Luca Cipriani

Luca Cipriani has a diverse work experience spanning over multiple roles and industries. Currently, Luca serves as the Head of Architecture at Jimdo, where they lead the Engineering Excellence group and focus on ensuring technical excellence in cloud technologies. Prior to this, Luca was an Engineering Manager for the Website Builder Group at Jimdo, where they managed three product teams and emphasized delivering high-quality products quickly through the utilization of Agile Frameworks.

Before joining Jimdo, Luca worked as an OKR Coach at Sys App Architect, helping companies adopt and improve the usage of the OKR framework to enhance their success and focus on company strategy. Additionally, Luca worked as a Technical Advisor for market and business research, providing insights to VC and investors about the best technical tools and companies in the market.

Luca's earlier experiences include serving as the CIO and Engineering Manager at Arduino, where they managed a team of 25 developers and were responsible for building the team and utilizing OKRs to enhance team skills and deliver value. Luca also worked as a Contract Professor at the Università degli Studi di Torino, teaching IoT development and conducting workshops on designing and creating IoT products.

Prior to these roles, Luca worked as a Senior System (DevOps) Engineer at Cloud9IDE, where they were involved in the architecture design and management of AWS infrastructure. They also served as a Senior Linux System Engineer at PeopleBrowsr Inc., designing and implementing architectures for high-load websites.

Earlier in their career, Luca worked as a System Administrator and developer at Redomino S.r.l., where they were responsible for the installation, configuration, and management of servers. They also served as a System Administrator at Engineering Ingegneria Informatica SPA, where they co-taught an advanced GNU/Linux course and worked on a software project. Prior to that, Luca worked as a System Administrator at IT Business SRL, managing virtual environments and teaching courses on GNU/Linux system administration and programming.

Throughout their career, Luca has demonstrated expertise in various areas such as cloud technologies, Agile methodologies, IoT development, system administration, and architecture design.

Luca Cipriani began their education in 2004 at Sapienza Università di Roma, where they studied Physics as a student until 2009. From 2010 to 2014, they attended Politecnico di Torino as a student and pursued Information Technology Engineering. Continuing their studies in the field of Computer Science, Luca enrolled at Università degli Studi di Torino from 2016 to 2019.

Luca'scurrent educational pursuit is a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science at Goldsmiths, University of London, which they started in 2020.
