Ellen Geohegan

Ellen Geohegan has a diverse work experience in the field of healthcare IT. Ellen started their career as an RN at Kaiser Permanente in 1984, focusing on critical care. Ellen then transitioned into roles as an engagement manager and solution consultant within the integrations group at Kaiser Permanente from 2004 to 2013. From 2013 to 2014, they worked as a healthcare ontology analyst and clinical terminologist at Remedy Informatics, where they implemented ontology-based infrastructure. Ellen also held positions as an analyst in medical informatics and clinical terminology at various companies, including None and Rose International. At Rose International, they worked as a solutions consultant at Kaiser Permanente from 2015 to 2017. Ellen later worked at 720VU LLC as a solutions and healthcare ontology analyst starting in 2015. From 2017 to 2019, they worked at Bioascensis as a principal healthcare IT solution consultant, providing support in pharmaceuticals IT and analyzing clinical workflows. Ellen is currently working at JISEKI Health as a program, product, and project manager, as well as a solution consultant.

Ellen Geohegan has a diverse education history. In 1980, they attended Santa Rosa Junior College, where they earned an Associate Degree in Nursing. Following this, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Information Systems Management at the University of San Francisco from 1997 to 1999.

In 2016, Ellen completed the "Successful completion of SNOMED CT Implementation course" at IHTSDO learning, focusing on Medical Informatics with a specialization in Terminology. The following year, in 2017, they enrolled in UC San Diego, where they studied Bioinformatics. Ellen also attended the Nursing Informatics Learning Center, where they gained knowledge of the fundamentals of Nursing Informatics in the same year.

Ellen has also obtained additional certifications. In January 2018, they successfully completed Lean Six Sigma Foundations and Six Sigma Foundations certifications from LinkedIn. These certifications showcase their expertise in process improvement methodologies.
