Kamal Soni

Kamal Soni is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in software engineering and team management. Currently serving as the Head of Engineering at Jisr I جسر since August 2020, Kamal oversees a team of approximately 100 engineers across multiple squads, collaborating with executive leadership on engineering objectives aligned with business goals. Previous roles include Principal Engineer and Lead Engineer at Jisr, where Kamal focused on security, scalability, and system performance, achieving compliance with national cybersecurity standards. Prior to Jisr, Kamal worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Tata 1mg, re-engineering applications for improved performance and implementing strategies that significantly increased subscriber growth. Kamal's career began at PayU as an SDE-3, where in-house tools for analytics were developed. Kamal holds a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology from the Indian Institute of Information Technology Allahabad.
