Jiyan Foundation for Human Rights
Bojan Gavrilovic is an experienced human rights professional currently serving as the Head of Program for Rights and Justice at the Jiyan Foundation for Human Rights since January 2018. Gavrilovic previously held positions as a Legal Officer at the Belgrade Centre for Human Rights from 2009 to 2013, and as a Legal Adviser at both IDC Serbia and Movimiento por la Paz from 2006 to 2009. Gavrilovic also gained early experience as an intern at The AIRE Centre in 2009. Academic qualifications include a Doctor of Law in Human Rights from the University of Hamburg (2013-2018), a Master of Laws (LLM) in Human Rights from Central European University (2008-2009), and a Bachelor's degree from the University of Belgrade Faculty of Law.

The Jiyan Foundation for Human Rights supports survivors of human rights violations, defends fundamental freedoms and promotes democratic values in Iraq and Syria. We seek a democratic society that protects the dignity of the human being, where adults and children enjoy the rights to life and freedom, and citizens are free from torture and terror. The Jiyan Foundation for Human Rights was established and officially registered as a non- governmental human rights organization in May 2005. The Jiyan Foundation provides survivors of violence and their families with physical rehabilitation, mental well-being and social reintegration programs. We are committed to ensuring that survivors can exercise to their basic human rights and are protected from further attacks. Through training and research, we are constantly improving the quality of our work.
