Sakthivel M

Sakthivel M has a strong background in human resources, with over 20 years of experience. Sakthivel is currently the Vice President of Corporate Human Resources at JK Fenner (India) Ltd. Prior to this, they held the position of Chief Human Resources Officer at Vedanta Resources Limited from 2020 to 2023. Before that, Sakthivel was the Head of HR at Vedanta Limited - Aluminium Business, where they managed a large workforce of over 10,000 employees. Sakthivel also served as the General Manager of HR at Vedanta Resources Plc, heading the HR function for Sterlite Copper and playing a key role in strategic initiatives and HR development. Sakthivel started their career at Hindustan Unilever Ltd as an All India Officer for Human Resources and Industrial Relations. Sakthivel also held the position of HR Manager at Lakshmi Automatic Loom Works Limited.

Sakthivel M has a diverse education history. In 1995, they enrolled in PSG College of Arts and Science and completed a Master of Social Work (M.S.W.) degree with a focus on Human Resources and Industrial Relations. Sakthivel attended the college for two years, until 1997.

Following their master's program, Sakthivel M joined Pondicherry University in 1997. Sakthivel studied there for a year and obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management (PGDHRM). The field of study for this program included HR, Industrial Relations, and Organization Development.

In 1992, Sakthivel M started their undergraduate studies at Sri Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya College of Arts and Science. Sakthivel pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree with a specialization in Physics. The program lasted for three years, and they completed it in 1995.

Aside from their formal education, Sakthivel M has obtained several certifications. In October 2017, they completed a course on "Managing High Performers" at LinkedIn. Sakthivel also obtained the certification of being a "Certified Assessor for CII HR Excellence Model" from the Confederation of Indian Industry in October 2014. Moreover, in February 2010, they became a "Certified Assessor for RBNQA Quality award" according to the Indian Merchants' Chamber.
