Sophie Niu

Sophie Niu is a Mechanical Equipment Engineer at JM Eagle since November 2012, focusing on production equipment layout using AutoCAD, innovative die tooling with Solidworks, and procurement of machinery and components. Previously, Sophie worked as a Mechanical Designer at Caterpillar Tunneling Canada Corporation from August 2005 to October 2012, where responsibilities included preparation and review of TBM component designs and related calculations. Earlier experience includes a faculty position in the Engineering Department at Qingdao Technological University from July 1989 to March 2003, teaching machine design, evaluating student projects, and conducting research on anti-block systems and innovative studies in CAD. Sophie holds an M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from Yan Shan University, earned from 1982 to 1989.
