Lisa Whittaker

Lisa Whittaker serves as the Director and Managing Counsel for Employment & Labor Law at The J.M. Smucker Co. since April 2021. Prior to this role, Lisa worked as Employment, Compliance, and Litigation Counsel at EXPRESS from December 2017 to April 2021, and as a Senior Attorney in Litigation and Employment at Ascena Retail Group, Inc. from September 2015 to December 2017. Lisa's legal career began at Porter Wright Morris & Arthur LLP as an Associate in Labor and Employment from September 2011 to September 2015, and included positions as an Assistant Attorney General at the Ohio Attorney General's Office from September 2007 to September 2011, where duties involved defending state agencies and providing legal counsel on various matters. Lisa holds a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership and Administration and a Juris Doctor from The Ohio State University, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Wright State University.
