Tarek Islamboli

Tarek Islamboli has extensive work experience in finance and accounting. Tarek currently serves as the Head of Finance and Accounting at JMIR Publications since February 2021. Prior to that, they held the same position at CHARM Group from June 2018 to February 2021. Tarek was previously the Director of Finance at iPortfolio from December 2017 to May 2018. Tarek started their career at Averda in October 2004 as a Financial Controller, where they worked until November 2017.

Tarek Islamboli has a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Toronto. Tarek also holds certifications in Management Accounting (CMA), Financial Analysis & Investment Management (CFAIM), and Financial Trading & Option Strategies (CFTOS) from the University of Toronto. In addition, they are a Certified Pro-Advisor in QuickBooks Online and has completed the IT Auditing for Non-IT Auditors program at the MIS Training Institute.
