Valerie Ott

Valerie Ott has a diverse work experience, starting in 2001 as the Reference Department Head at Wadsworth Public Library. Valerie was responsible for promoting the library's collection, seeking outside funding, and conducting training sessions. From 2006 to 2008, Valerie worked as an Editor for The Young Adult Library Services Association, where they developed an editorial calendar and managed the manuscript selection process. In 2014, they began freelancing as a Writer for About.com, creating engaging and SEO-optimized articles on home decor. Valerie also worked as an Editor at N2 Publishing, planning publication content and evaluating writers' submissions. Valerie joined Home Made Modern in 2007 as a Freelance Blogger, where they built a successful blog and established a strong social media presence. Currently, Valerie is working as the Editorial Director at JOANN Stores, overseeing the editorial content strategy.

Valerie Ott received a Bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature, General from Xavier University in 1998. In 2001, they obtained a Master of Library & Information Science (M.L.I.S.) degree from Kent State University.
