Athena Mendenhall has a diverse work experience in the field of recruitment and human resources. Athena started their career in 2014 as a Student Assistant at the University of South Alabama, where they supervised programming and managed a staff. In 2017, they worked as a Customer Service Associate at Lowe's Companies, Inc. handling various customer service tasks.

In 2018, Athena joined Volunteers of America Southeast as an HR Assistant/Recruiter, where they provided support in HR and recruitment operations for multiple states. Athena also ensured compliance with accrediting agencies and used various software and recruitment tools.

In 2021, Athena became self-employed as an Independent Recruiter, sourcing and recruiting candidates through different platforms. Athena conducted interviews and pre-screened candidates for sales and entry-level tech positions.

Athena then joined PrincetonOne as a Recruiter, RPO in 2021, which was later acquired by Job.com in 2022. During their time there, they contributed to tailored RPO solutions.

Currently, Athena works at Job.com as a Recruiting Partner, RPO. Athena acts as a Talent Advisor and Talent Advocate, collaborating with hiring managers to understand company culture and strategic plans. Athena guides and coaches candidates through the application and interviewing process, providing feedback and consistent follow-ups. Athena utilizes creativity and innovation to enhance the hiring process for clients and candidates, employing AI and machine learning technology.

Athena Mendenhall completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Health/Health Care Administration/Management from the University of South Alabama from 2010 to 2017. In addition to their degree, they obtained various certifications over the years from institutions such as Microsoft, LinkedIn, SocialTalent, Traliant, and DevSkiller. These certifications include Career Essentials in Business Analysis, Recruiting Foundations, Talent Management, The Data Science of Healthcare, Medicine, and Public Health, Engaging Talent, Candidate Control Masterclass, Microaggressions in the Workplace, Cultural Competency & Humility, Diversity, Inclusion, Sensitivity & Racism, Unconscious Bias, Tech Recruitment Certified Professional, Technical Recruiting, and Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED.
