Bao Doan

Bao Doan began their work experience as a Teaching Assistant at City Colleges of Chicago in 2013. They then joined Epic in 2016, where they designed and developed features for Epic Haiku, including real-time access to patient information and exam studies for radiologists on Apple devices. They also implemented a cloud-based speech recognition feature to streamline exam report generation. In the same year, Bao joined Ag-Sensus as a Software Engineer, building a Precision Farming Operating System that allowed farmers to collect, process, and analyze data using UAVs and image processing techniques. In 2017, Bao interned at Amazon, leading the development of a Widget as a Service framework for the Kindle team, improving developer productivity. Following this, Bao joined Amazon Web Services (AWS) in 2018 as a Software Development Engineer, where they contributed to the design and development of the AWS Prescriptive Guidance (APG) platform, assisting customers in their cloud migration projects. Bao is currently working as a Senior Software Engineer at Joblist, a startup focused on streamlining the job search process.

Bao Doan completed their high school education at Le Quy Don Khanh Hoa High School for the Gifted, specializing in Mathematics. They then continued their education at City Colleges of Chicago-Harry S Truman College, where they obtained an Associate's Degree in Associate in Science from 2012 to 2014. Bao Doan later pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics and Computer Science at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, completing the program from 2015 to 2017. Additionally, Bao Doan acquired certifications such as the edX Honor Code Certificate for Introduction to Computer Science I from edX in April 2013. They also obtained certifications from Amazon Web Services (AWS) as a Developer - Associate and as a Solutions Architect Associate, although the specific dates of obtaining these certifications are not provided.
