Bin Gong has a diverse work experience spanning over several roles and industries. Starting as a Research Assistant at the First Institute of Oceanography, Bin developed a numerical model for simulating tidal circulation and thermal-salinity distribution in the Yellow Sea. Bin then worked as a Software Engineer at different companies, including Calico Commerce, Instill, and EQE International, where they contributed to projects such as the Recommendation Engine, B2B platforms, and earthquake models.

In 2002, Bin became a Java Consultant at Northrop Grumman, working on online services for the U.S. Postal Service. Later, Bin joined eBay as a Java Technical Lead, designing search services and working on the shopping cart project. They then became a Java Technical Lead at Intuit, focusing on Mobile Payment Services for small financial institutions.

Bin's career then moved to Optum Services, where they served as a Principal Software Engineer leading a team in developing the next generation of Healthcare Information Exchange (HIE) for patients and hospitals. Bin later joined Le Technology, d.b.a. LeEco as the Principal Software Engineer for Cloud, responsible for managing the Letv private cloud and developing the LeZone web services and online payment system.

At abra, Bin served as a Software Architect, designing and developing microservices in the AWS cloud environment. They also led the development of integrations with third-party services and implemented a risk management and fraud prevention engine for Abra's cryptocurrency transaction platform.

Currently, Bin Gong is working as a Software Engineering Manager at Jobox.ai, overseeing payment-related services and third-party integrations, as well as providing new-hire training for backend development.

Bin Gong completed a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Mathematics from the National University of Defense Technology between 1981 and 1985. They then pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Environmental/Environmental Health Engineering from the University of Maine from 1991 to 1995. Lastly, they obtained another Master of Science (M.S.) degree, this time in Computer Engineering, from Santa Clara University from 1997 to 2000.
