Lisa Soricone has a strong background in research and program management in the field of adult education and workforce development. Lisa has held various roles throughout their career, starting with a position as a Program Associate at World Education in 1993. Lisa then worked as a Research Associate at the National Center for the Study of Adult Learning and Literacy from 1997 to 2006, where they conducted research and co-authored publications on adult basic education. In 2007, Lisa joined Commonwealth Corporation as a Research and Evaluation Analyst, where they designed and implemented evaluations of workforce development programs and provided technical assistance in evaluation and data collection. Most recently, Lisa has been working at Jobs for the Future, first as a Senior Program Manager in 2012, then as a Research Director in 2018, and currently as a Senior Research Director since 2019. In their current role, they are responsible for overseeing research projects and directing the organization's research initiatives.
Lisa Soricone completed their education with a Bachelor's degree in French and Political Science from Hobart and William Smith Colleges in 1985. Lisa then pursued further studies at the Universite Paul Valery in Montpellier, France, specializing in Literature and Linguistics while also focusing on teaching French as a foreign language. In 1992, Lisa enrolled in the Harvard Graduate School of Education and earned a Master's degree in International Education in 1993. Later, they returned to Harvard to complete their Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) degree in Community Education and Lifelong Learning, which they accomplished between 1997 and 2003.
