Chris Turk's work experience includes:

- Test Lead at Joby Aviation since August 2019, responsible for leading airframe and actuator testing, as well as performance, qualification, safety, and acceptance testing of advanced mechanical actuation systems.

- Chief Engineer of WhiteKnightTwo at The Spaceship Company from June 2018 to August 2019.

- Test Engineering Manager at The Spaceship Company from April 2015 to June 2018.

- Lead Structural Test Engineer at The Spaceship Company from June 2013 to April 2015.

- ODA Structural AR and Lead Stress Engineer at Gulfstream Aerospace from February 2006 to June 2013.

- Research Engineer at Forest Products Lab from 2003 to 2006, with responsibilities including research of wood composites, ANSYS FEA modelling of composite structures, mechanical equipment design and build management, and LabView data acquisition programming.

Chris Turk attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison from 1999 to 2003, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Mechanics and Astronautics. Chris further pursued their education at the University of Southern California from 2008 to 2011, acquiring a Master of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering.
