Darpan Kumar

Darpan Kumar has a diverse work experience in multiple engineering roles. Darpan most recently worked at Joby Aviation as a Tool Design and Metrology Engineer since January 2022. Prior to that, they were a Mechanical Engineer at A.V.W. Equipment Company, Inc. from September 2020 to January 2022.

Before their role at A.V.W., Kumar worked at Florida Institute of Technology, where they served as an Information Desk Assistant at Evans Library from January 2018 to February 2020. Darpan also held the position of Aerodynamics Team Leader for the Design Build Fly Competition from August 2017 to April 2018.

Kumar had an internship at Piper Aircraft in 2019, where they worked as a Structural Design Engineering Intern. In this role, they modeled parts and installations using NX and Teamcenter software, drafted detail and assembly drawings, created engineering orders and work orders, and investigated corrective actions to improve assembly and production operations.

Darpan Kumar completed their Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace Engineering from Florida Institute of Technology, from the year 2016 to 2020.
