Hersh Aditya Singh began their work experience in 2019 as a Member of the Payload and Recovery Systems engineering team for the AIAA Student Chapter at The University of Texas at Dallas. Hersh Aditya worked on designing a parachute recovery system for a rocket, creating engineering drawings using SolidWorks, and collaborating with other teams.
In 2020, Singh worked as a Project Partner Liaison for UTDesign, where they coordinated with clients to design ergonomic handles and portable mounting ramps. Hersh Aditya optimized the designs using MATLAB and conducted FEA simulations using Abaqus.
From 2020 to 2022, Singh served as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant for the University of Texas at Dallas, conducting study sessions, tutoring students, and participating in staff meetings.
In 2021, Singh worked as a Mechanical Engineering Intern at Alstom, where they contributed to the design and development of a high-speed train, created 3D solid models and mechanical assemblies using CATIA V5.
In 2022, Singh interned as a Mechanical & Manufacturing Engineering Intern at Garrett Metal Detectors. Hersh Aditya designed fixtures and tooling, led automation efforts, and designed parts for metal detectors using Autodesk Inventor.
Starting in 2023, Singh will work as a Tooling Design Engineer at Joby Aviation.
Hersh Aditya Singh completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Texas at Dallas between 2019 and 2022. Prior to that, they obtained their High School Diploma from Delhi Public School - R. K. Puram during the years 2004 to 2018. In high school, they focused on subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Computer Science, and English. In addition to their formal education, they also earned certifications as a Certified SOLIDWORKS Associate (CSWA) in Mechanical Design from Dassault Systèmes in January 2022 and as a Certified Peer Tutor (CRLA Level 2) from The University of Texas at Dallas in March 2021.
