Jason Ryan

Jason Ryan has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Their most recent position was as a Flight Control Systems Lead at Joby Aviation, where they started in July 2019. Prior to that, they worked as a Control Systems Engineer at the same company from April 2016 to July 2019. Before joining Joby Aviation, Jason worked as a Software Developer at an independent company from August 2015 to May 2016. Jason also gained research experience through their roles at Stanford University, where they worked as a Research Assistant from October 2011 to March 2016 and as a Graduate Teaching Assistant from January 2013 to June 2013. Jason's earlier career includes internships at Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems, where they worked as a Research Scientist/Engineering Intern in 2010, 2009, and 2008. Jason also had internships at Northrop Grumman Space Technology in 2007 and 2006, working as an Electrical Engineering Intern in both cases.

Jason Ryan earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Electrical Engineering from Rice University in the years 2005-2009. Subsequently, they pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Stanford University from 2009-2012. Jason continued their education at Stanford and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from 2012-2016. Prior to their college studies, they attended Chadwick School from 2001-2005.
