Joshua Wright

Joshua Wright is a Mechanical Engineer with a Bachelor of Science degree from Cal Poly, graduated in 2023. Currently serving as an Actuator Test Engineer at Joby Aviation, Joshua designs and executes tests for tilt/transition actuators, focusing on performance verification, thermal testing, and life testing. Prior experience includes leadership roles in Cal Poly Racing, where Joshua led a team to achieve notable finishes in Baja SAE competitions and oversaw significant redesigns and testing processes for vehicle powertrain systems. Joshua's internship experiences range from test engineering at Rivian to application engineering at FOX Factory, demonstrating a strong foundation in vehicle instrumentation, data collection, and product development across various engineering contexts. Additionally, the role as a Machine Shop Technician at Cal Poly Machine Shops provided extensive hands-on experience with various manufacturing methods and equipment.
