Neal Panhuyzen has extensive experience in the aerospace industry. Neal started their career at Safran Landing Systems in 1995 as a Project Engineer. In 2006, they joined Gulfstream Aerospace as an Engineering Group Head, overseeing the design and testing of electrically actuated door systems. Neal also coordinated qualification and certification activities with regulatory authorities. In 2011, Neal became the Project Engineering Manager for new aircraft development at Gulfstream Aerospace, where they managed all aspects of design, analysis, performance, reliability, safety, and airworthiness for the G500 and G600 models. In 2020, they joined Joby Aviation as the Lead for the Vehicle Development Program Management, where they currently serve.
Neal Panhuyzen earned a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) degree in Aerospace Engineering from Toronto Metropolitan University between 1991 and 1995. Neal also holds a Private Pilot License (ASEL) obtained from the Federal Aviation Administration in May 2018 and another Private Pilot License (ASEL) obtained from Transport Canada - Transports Canada in December 1997.
