John Watkins

John Watkins is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in nuclear facilities and mechanical design. Currently serving as a Nuclear Facilities Engineer 4 and Team Lead at Los Alamos National Laboratory since July 2021, John has also held a design engineer role at John Crane since June 2017, specializing in small ASME vessels. Additionally, John operates Watkins Consulting, providing contract design work for API 650, 620, & 653 tanks and ASME pressure vessels, along with 2D AutoCAD drafting. Previous positions include Senior Reliability Engineer at WestRock Company, Engineering Manager at Integrated Services Company, and a variety of mechanical engineering roles at other prominent firms. John holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Tulsa and is currently pursuing a Master of Engineering in Technical Management at Texas A&M University.
