Amshu Venkatesha

Amshu Venkatesha has a diverse work experience in the field of environmental sustainability and standards. They started their career in 2012 as an Environmental and Sustainability Assistant at The Gateshead Housing Company, where they focused on improving the company's environmental performance and embedding sustainability in the business model. They then worked as a Sustainable Travel Advisor at Cambridgeshire County Council, implementing a behavioral change project promoting sustainable modes of transportation. In 2013, they joined Muir Group Housing Association as an Environmental and Sustainability Officer, supporting the development and implementation of the organization's environmental management system. They then moved on to A-one+ as an Environmental and Sustainability Advisor, where they worked until 2019. During this time, Amshu played a key role in the development and implementation of environmental sustainability strategies. In 2019, they joined John Henry Group as a Group Environmental and Sustainability Advisor, further expanding their expertise in this field. After that, they worked as a Senior Environmental Specialist at SYSTRA Ltd before assuming their current position as Head of Standards and Sustainability at John Henry Group in 2022. Amshu Venkatesha pursued their education in a chronological order, starting with a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Chemical Engineering from Visvesvaraya Technological University, which they completed from 2005 to 2009. In 2011, they enrolled in Newcastle University, where they obtained a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Clean Technology, completing the program in 2012. During the same year, they also acquired the AIEMA certification from the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA). In 2011, Amshu Venkatesha attended Nationwide Energy Training Service Ltd, where they earned a City and Guilds Level 3 Diploma in Domestic Energy Assessment, specializing in Energy Management. To further enhance their professional credentials, they obtained additional certifications, including Professionally Qualified Person (CSCS) from the CONSTRUCTION SKILLS CERTIFICATION SCHEME LIMITED in May 2015, and PIEMA from IEMA in June 2016.
