Community Engagement Officer at John Innes Centre

Caroline Smith's work experience spans over several decades, starting in 1989 at The University of the South Pacific where they worked as a Fellow in Plant Tissue Culture until 1992. Caroline then joined the John Innes Centre in 1992 and worked as an Ex-Research Scientist until 2019. In 2020, they transitioned to the NHS and worked as a Biomedical Scientist until 2021. Caroline returned to the John Innes Centre in 2021, first as a Research Scientist and then as a Community Engagement Officer starting in April 2022.

Caroline Smith obtained their Bachelor's degree in Plant Science from Wye College, London University. Caroline attended the college from 1982 to 1985.
