Elaine Farrow has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. In 2011, they began their career as a PGCE Trainee Secondary Science Teacher at the University of East Anglia. Elaine then worked as a Lecturer in Science and Chemistry at The College of West Anglia from October 2012 to August 2016, during which they also served as the Course Director for Level 2 Applied Science.
Elaine later joined Pearson as an Assessor from September 2016 to June 2019. Elaine then worked as a Chemistry and Physics Tutor at Mander Portman Woodward Limited from April 2017 to June 2019.
In August 2019, Elaine joined Saxon Agriculture Ltd as a Grain and Seed Quality Supervisor, a role they held until January 2022.
Elaine then worked as a Laboratory Analyst at British Sugar from September 2022 to March 2023, where they conducted analysis of sugar co-products and provided technical support for a pilot project.
In 2022, Elaine joined the John Innes Centre twice. From January to July 2022, they worked as a Research Assistant, supporting the Balk research group in investigating iron in plants for human nutrition. Elaine also prepared wheat flour and peas for elemental nutrient analysis. Elaine later rejoined the John Innes Centre in May 2023 as a Research Assistant.
Elaine's work experience also includes a role as an Assessor and later Team Leader Assessor at OCR from June 2011 to the present.
Most recently, they worked as a Housekeeping Assistant at Center Parcs UK & Ireland starting in April 2023, and as a Research Assistant at the John Innes Centre starting in May 2023.
Elaine Farrow attended the University of East Anglia from 2000 to 2004, where they pursued a degree in Chemistry. Elaine obtained their MChem degree during this time.
