Hugh Woolfenden

Hugh Woolfenden's work experience begins in 2010 at the University of East Anglia, where they worked as a Senior Research Associate. In this role, they developed a bacterial denitrification model and wrote modeling software in Matlab. Hugh also developed bioinformatics software to analyze next generation sequencing (NGS) data, using Java and PHP. Additionally, they investigated properties of nonlinear interfacial waves and utilized software in Fortran and Python, as well as high-performance computing facilities.

In 2013, Woolfenden joined the John Innes Centre as a Postdoctoral Researcher. Here, they focused on developing biomechanical models of stomata, gave presentations on their research, and used Python, bash scripting, and high-performance computing facilities.
