Iqra Jamil has a work experience in both research and agricultural biochemistry and biotechnology. From 2014 to 2016, they worked as a Graduate Research Student at the Center of Agricultural Biochemistry and Biotechnology (CABB). Since 2019, they have been employed as a Post Graduate Research Student at the John Innes Centre.
Iqra Jamil started their education at Jinnah College Gojra in 2007 and completed their Intermediate degree in Pre-Medicine/Pre-Medical Studies in 2009. Iqra then attended the University of Agriculture, Faisalabad from 2009 to 2013 and obtained a B.Sc (Hons.) degree in Agri.biotechnology. Following that, they pursued a Master of Philosophy (M.Phil.) degree in Biotechnology from the University of Agriculture, Faisalabad between 2014 and 2016. Currently, Iqra is enrolled at the University of East Anglia, where they are working towards achieving a PhD in Plant Sciences, a program they started in 2019 and is expected to complete in 2024.
