Joshua Williams has a diverse work experience starting from 2018. In 2018, they had summer work experience at King's College London and the Wellcome Trust Centre for Human Genetics, University of Oxford. From 2021 onwards, they worked as a summer research student at the John Innes Centre and UCL, where they were involved in projects related to gene regulatory networks and characterizing wheat genomes. Joshua also served as the President and Education Officer of the UCL Genetics Society. In 2022, Joshua joined the John Innes Centre as a postgraduate researcher. Overall, their work experience spans various research and leadership roles in genetics and bioinformatics.
Joshua Williams has a diverse education history. Joshua pursued a PhD in Deep Learning at the University of East Anglia from 2022 to 2026. Prior to that, they obtained a Genetics BSc degree from UCL between 2019 and 2022, focusing on Biology and Biological Sciences.
Before entering higher education, Joshua attended The Judd School from 2012 to 2019, where they completed their A-Levels and GCSEs.
In addition to their formal education, Joshua has acquired several certifications. In 2023, they completed a certification in "Microscopy data analysis: Machine learning and the BioImage Archive" from the European Bioinformatics Institute. Joshua obtained a certification in "Regenerative Landscapes and Permaculture Design" from ecodemia in 2022. Furthermore, they obtained an Industry Skills Certificate from the Royal Society of Biology in 2021, a certification in "Principles of Collection Management" from the University of the Arts London in 2021, and certifications in "R Programming: Advanced Analytics In R For Data Science" and "R Programming A-Z™: R For Data Science With Real Exercises!" from Udemy in 2021 and 2019, respectively.
