Deneka S. Brown

Deneka S. Brown, CTRS, has been serving as the Recreational Therapist Team Lead at JPS Health Network since February 2017, where responsibilities include developing, organizing, and providing group recreation and activity services for adolescent and adult patients. Previously, Deneka held the position of Activities Coordinator at Meridian Senior Living from February 2016 to January 2017, ensuring ethical standards and professional conduct were maintained. Additionally, Deneka completed a Recreation Therapy Internship at Wake Forest Baptist Health in late 2015, managing a caseload and creating therapeutic treatment plans for patients in the Adult Psychiatry Unit. Deneka earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Recreational Therapy from East Carolina University between 2012 and 2015.
