Joy Parker has over 17 years of work experience in various roles within the healthcare industry. Joy began their career in 2004 as an Administrative Resident at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children. From there, they joined Children's Health in 2004 and held multiple positions, including Dental Hygienist, Practice Administrator for Dental/Orthodontics, Director of Ambulatory Services, Interim Senior Director of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and Senior Director of Home Care Operations. During their time at Children's Health, they were responsible for overseeing the operations and financial success of various divisions, implementing new technologies, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
In 2017, Joy joined JPS Health Network as the Executive Director of Community Health before being promoted to Vice President of Community Health and later Vice President of Operations. In these roles, they were responsible for strategic planning, budget management, developing relationships with community partners and providers, and overseeing various departments and clinics within the healthcare network.
Throughout their career, Joy has demonstrated a strong ability to effectively manage teams, develop and implement workflows, and achieve positive outcomes in terms of patient care, financial performance, and regulatory compliance. Joy Parker obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Dental Hygiene/Hygienist from Texas A&M University School of Dentistry in 2003. Joy then pursued a Master of Science (MS) in Health/Health Care Administration/Management Track from the same institution and graduated in 2006. In addition to their educational background, they hold certifications such as "Fellow" from America's Essential Hospitals (obtained in 2020) and an unspecified certification from the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business.
