John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation
Jesse Krimes is a self-employed artist with a robust portfolio of leadership roles in various art initiatives. Currently serving as the Founder and Executive Director of the Center for Art & Advocacy since September 2023, and Co-Founder and Director of the Right of Return USA Fellowship since August 2017, Jesse actively promotes art as a means of social justice. Jesse has been recognized as a 2021 Guggenheim Fellow, a 2020 Fellow with Creative Capital, and a Ford Foundation Art for Justice Fellow since January 2018. Additionally, Jesse is a gallery artist at Malin Gallery and was previously a Rauschenberg Fellow and an Independence Foundation Fellow in 2017. Jesse holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Fine/Studio Arts from Millersville University of Pennsylvania, obtained between 2002 and 2008.
