Edward Wilson

Center for Health Logistics Director at JSI

As the director of JSI’s supply chain practices, the Center for Health Logistics, and Partnership for Supply Chain Management, Edward Wilson oversees more than 30 projects that are improving access to medicines and diagnostics in low- and middle-income countries for multi-lateral, bilateral, private sector, and philanthropic clients. Edward has been with JSI since 1986 and has over 30 years of experience in pharmaceutical supply chain management. As a manager for the USAID | DELIVER PROJECT, Edward oversaw market-shaping activities for contraceptives and malaria prevention and treatment commodities, a global supply chain that procured and delivered $1.5b worth of medicines and medical supplies to 114 countries, and a global technical support team that provided supply chain technical assistance to 65 countries. The project supported the introduction of new products such as Sayana Press (subcutaneous DMPA) and included a deliberate private sector engagement strategy that resulted in the outsourcing of logistics functions in countries in Africa, Asia, and Latin America. Edward has a BA from Oberlin College and an MS from George Washington University.
