Veysel Kocaman

Veysel Kocaman has an extensive work experience in the field of data science and machine learning. Veysel began their career in 2018 as a Data Scientist at Davis Real Estate, LLC and also worked as a Chief Data Scientist at Tribes.AI during the same time. In 2018, they also took on the role of Head of AI at Talent Envoy and worked as a Data Science Consultant and Instructor at Datajarlabs.

In 2019, Veysel joined John Snow Labs as a Senior Data Scientist and later progressed to the role of Lead Data Scientist. Currently, they serve as the Head of Data Science at the company. At the same time, they also worked at Google as a Google Developer Expert in Machine Learning, Mentor in Google for Startups, and a Google Cloud Innovator.

In 2021, Veysel joined Gesund.ai as a Platform Architect, where they continue to contribute their expertise. Additionally, they have been working as a Lecturer at Leiden University since 2018, teaching at the Leiden Institute of Computer Sciences.

From 2007 to 2009, Veysel Kocaman pursued a Master's Degree in Operations Research at Penn State University. Following this, from 2018 to 2022, Veysel Kocaman attended Leiden University, where they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Computer Science.
