Bryan Freeland

Bryan Freeland currently serves as the Coordinator of Experiential Education at The Johns Hopkins University, a position held since August 2024. Prior experience includes teaching as a Visiting Lecturer at Framingham State University and roles as both an English Teacher at The Derryfield School and at Justice Resource Institute. Bryan also worked as an Adjunct Lecturer at Merrimack College, where the focus was on first-year writing courses. Other positions include serving and bartending at Copper House Tavern, mentoring at The MENTOR Network, and facilitating educational programs with Thompson Island Outward Bound. Bryan's prior experience in political organization includes training volunteers and managing voter outreach campaigns with Hillary for America. Academic qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy in Outdoor/Experiential Education expected from the University of New Hampshire by May 2025, alongside a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from American University and a Bachelor’s degree in English from Eastern Connecticut State University.
