Kathleen Barry

Kathleen Barry serves as the Associate Director of the National Fellowships Program and Scholars and Fellows Programs at The Johns Hopkins University, a position held since July 2018, where guidance is provided to students and alumni applying for nationally competitive fellowships and scholarships. Prior experience includes serving as Executive Director of the Historical Society of Baltimore County, managing daily operations, public programs, and project development, and as an Outside Reader for Princeton University's Office of Undergraduate Admissions. Kathleen Barry has also worked as a Subject Matter Expert at Cengage Learning and taught US Women's History as an Instructor at Merrimack College. An independent researcher and historical consultant from 2006 to 2014, notable past roles include Mellon Research Fellow in American History at the University of Cambridge and Historical Advisor for the documentary “Fly With Me: The History of the Flight Attendant.” Educational qualifications include a PhD and MA in History from New York University and a BA in History from Harvard University.
