Millie Wears

Millie Wears is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in nuclear weapons surety and program implementation, currently serving as a Principal Professional Staff member at Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory since July 2005. Wears supports Strategic Systems Programs as a Nuclear Surety Independent Evaluator, bringing significant expertise in engineering design and project sustainment. Additionally, Wears is an instructor for the Engineering for Professionals graduate program at The Johns Hopkins University - Whiting School of Engineering since January 2020. A retired Captain from the US Navy, Wears had a distinguished career spanning 28 years, which included active duty and reserve service with responsibilities in policy and execution. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Technical Management from The Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Missouri-Columbia, along with various military education programs.
