Megan Uhaze-Wear

Co-Head of Paint, Patina and Preservation department/ Artist at Johnson Atelier

Megan Uhaze-Wear has a diverse work experience in the art industry, starting in 2009 as a Co-Head of the Paint, Patina and Preservation department at The Seward Johnson Atelier, Inc. Their responsibilities included working with artists and clients to create high-end finishes for fine art through painting, patinating, and restoring art.

In 2010, they joined Grounds For Sculpture as a Museum Educator, where they gave VIP tours and private tours of the sculpture collection. Megan provided knowledge about the collection, artistic process, materials, and history to outside visitors. Additionally, they served as an art instructor, teaching workshops and painting classes as well as assisting in visitor engagement. Their role as a Museum Educator lasted until February 2023, while their role as a corporate educator and art instructor ended in August 2022.

Megan Uhaze-Wear attended Mercer County Community College from 2004 to 2006, where they pursued studies in Visual Art and Art History. Megan then transferred to Moore College of Art and Design and completed their Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Art History with a minor in 2D Fine Art from 2006 to 2009. In addition to their formal education, Megan obtained a certification in the Axalta Cromax Mosaic paint system spray in 2016.
