Lawrence C.

Lawrence C. has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. From 2019 onwards, they have worked for Johnson Controls-Hitachi Air Conditioning, holding positions such as Director of Product Design - UIUX & Industrial Design and Director of Product Design and Digital Controls Product Management. Prior to this, they worked as a Lecturer at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University School of Design. Lawrence also founded Lawrence Chu Design & Innovation Consulting in 2008 and served as the Founder and Principal until 2020. Additionally, Lawrence has held positions at Nixplay, BISSELL Homecare, Inc., Umbra, and Standard Chartered Bank, gaining experience in industrial design, development coordination, and innovation management, among other areas.

Lawrence C. pursued their education from various institutions. In 2000-2004, they studied Industrial Design at OCAD University, earning a Bachelor of Design degree. Lawrence then attended The Hong Kong Polytechnic University from 2012 to 2014, where they completed a Master of Design degree in Design & Innovation Strategies. In 2018, Lawrence briefly attended Delft University of Technology, focusing on Thing-Centered Design and the Internet of Things. Furthermore, they obtained a certification called "100 Mentorship Minutes" from adplist.org in 2022.
