Matthew Afshari

Matthew Afshari is an accomplished professional in the field of medical education and training, currently serving as the Director of MedTech Education for Spine Robotics, Enabling, and Core Technologies at Johnson & Johnson MedTech since March 2025. Prior to this role, Matthew held key positions at Augmedics as the Director of Global Medical Education & Medical Affairs and Global Training Manager, and at Neocis Inc. as the Director of Training and Professional Education. Additionally, Matthew has significant experience with organizations like Medtronic and Mazor Robotics, where responsibilities included developing training programs and managing clinical sales operations. Matthew holds a Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center and a Bachelor of Science in Physiology, along with a minor in Microbiology and Immunology from Oklahoma State University.
