David Strickland is an experienced professional in the optics and manufacturing industry, currently serving as Manager of Optical Metrology in R&D at Vistakon since March 2012, having previously held the role of Staff Engineer. From March 2010 to April 2012, David was Manager of Mold Design and Production at Pixel Optics, responsible for establishing and managing an international supply chain for tooling related to emPower! electronic eyewear. Prior to that, from January 2006 to March 2010, David worked as Manager of Manufacturing & Tech at IntelliMat, Inc., overseeing manufacturing and distribution operations. David's earlier experience includes serving as Project Manager at Johnson & Johnson from 1999 to 2006, managing the introduction of new materials and designs, and as Metrology/Quality Manager at Applied Image Group/Optics from 1997 to 1999, where quality checks and measurement methodologies were developed. Additionally, David worked as an Optical Processing Engineer at US Precision Lens (Corning Optics) in 1996-1997. David holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Optics from the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, earned between 1987 and 1991.
