Shane Kavanagh

Vice President Health Economics

Shane Kavanagh has extensive experience in health economics and research, beginning as a Research Fellow at the University of Kent from October 1991 to May 1999, focusing on the costs and outcomes of deinstitutionalization for patients with mental illnesses. Subsequently, Shane served as a Research Officer at the London School of Economics, conducting similar research on long-term care groups. From January 2001 to January 2010, Shane held significant roles at Johnson & Johnson, including Vice President Health Economics and Senior Director Health Economics, where responsibilities included overseeing health economics and pricing programs for various drug delivery platforms. Prior experience also includes a position as Senior Researcher in Health Technology Assessment at TNO in the Netherlands from June 1999 to December 2000. Shane Kavanagh holds a BSSc in Economics from Queen's University Belfast and an MSc in Health Economics from the University of York.
