Libing Zhang began their work experience in 1997 as a Senior Scientist at E Ink Corporation, a MIT Media Lab start-up. Libing played a key role in inventing ePaper technology and led breakthroughs in technology, product development, and commercialization. In 2002, they joined Parlex as the Director of Research and Development, where they remained until 2014. During their time at Parlex, they oversaw and managed research and development projects. In 2014, Zhang joined Johnson Medtech as the Director of Medical Technology and Head of Engineering, where they currently hold the position.
Libing Zhang completed a Ph.D. in Nanomaterials synthesis and device fabrication from Texas Christian University, which lasted from 1993 to 1997. Following this, Zhang pursued a postdoctoral program at Kansas State University in 1997, specializing in Polymer dispersed liquid crystal. In terms of additional certifications, Zhang obtained a certification in "Foundations of the Fourth Industrial Revolution (Industry 4.0)" from LinkedIn in October 2021.
