Chief Clinical Officer at Hopscotch

Sourav Sengupta's work experience begins in 2009 as a Baltimore City Mayoral Fellow in the Office of Mayor in Baltimore. Sourav then worked as a Psychiatrist at Wood Street Commons from 2011 to 2012. In 2008, Sourav joined the Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center as a Resident in General Adult Psychiatry, followed by roles as a Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellow, Chief Resident for Education, and Public Service Psychiatry Fellow. From 2011 to 2013, they also served as a Resident Member of Council for the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. In 2013, Sourav became the Medical Director and Founder of Integrated Care/for Kids, a company that provided integrated care for children and families with behavioral health issues. At the same time, they worked as a Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist at Gateway Longview until 2017. Sourav's role as a Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist continued as they joined the University at Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences in 2013, where they also held positions as an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics, Assistant Professor of Psychiatry, Associate Training Director for the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship, and later as the Program Director for the same fellowship. Sourav also served as a Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist and Educator at Child and Adolescent Psychiatry for Primary Care (CAP-PC) since 2016, providing educational programming on mental health and substance abuse topics to primary care practitioners and educators in New York State. In 2022, Sourav took on the role of Chief Clinical Officer at Hopscotch and Director of Learning Communities at the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at the University at Buffalo.

Sourav Sengupta began their education at Baton Rouge Magnet High School, where they spent the years 1996 to 2000. Sourav then went on to pursue a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at Duke University from 2000 to 2004. Following their undergraduate studies, they attended Tufts University School of Medicine from 2004 to 2008, where they earned both an MD degree and an MPH (Master of Public Health) degree. Specifically, they pursued their MPH at the Department of Public Health and Community Medicine within Tufts University School of Medicine.
