Alan Joseph Williams

Alan Joseph Williams has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Alan Joseph began their career as a Management Consultant at Civix in 2009 and worked there until 2011. Alan Joseph then joined Neighborland as a Product Designer, where they played a key role in enabling public participation in shaping their cities. After that, Alan co-founded GetCalFresh.org at Code for America in 2014, where they led product, design, and customer experience efforts to develop a better way for California families in need to receive food stamps. This project has grown significantly and now serves over 1 million families annually. In 2018, Alan became the Director of Product Design at Civilla, where they contributed to the organization's product design initiatives. Currently, they hold the position of VP Design at Propel, Inc since 2019, where they focus on delivering financial services and tools to low-income families. Additionally, they also assumed the role of VP Strategy in March 2023 at Propel, Inc.
