Uk Yang

Uk Yang is a distinguished expert in military strategy and weapons systems with over 20 years of experience in the defense industry and private military enterprises. Currently serving as a Research Fellow at the Asan Institute for Policy Studies, Uk Yang also holds positions as an Associate Research Fellow with the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the Republic of Korea and as a member of the Board of Advisors at the Korea Army Academy at Yeong-Cheon. As a collaboration professor at Hannam University and an adjunct professor, Uk Yang focuses on various topics including Revolution in Military Affairs and Nuclear Strategies. Additionally, Uk Yang provides policy advice to the Ministry of the Interior & Safety and the Republic of Korea Army, while also holding visiting lecturer roles at the Korean Military Academy. Previous roles include serving as the Director of the WMD Response Center at KODEF and as a standing member of the National Unification Advisory Council. Uk Yang's academic background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Law from Seoul National University and advanced degrees in Military Strategic Studies and National Security Strategy from the Korea National Defense University.
