Joint Operations Planner, Maritime Plans Chief at Joint Enabling Capabilities Command

Alex Rafal has a diverse work experience in the military and defense sector. They began their career in 2002 as a Nuclear Submarine Officer in the US Navy. In 2017, they served as the Executive Officer Submarine Rescue at Undersea Rescue Command. Following this, in 2020, they pursued a Masters degree at Joint Forces Staff College, National Defense University. Currently, Alex is working as a Joint Operations Planner, Maritime Plans Chief at Joint Enabling Capabilities Command, starting in 2021.

Alex Rafal completed a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Engineering at Stevens Institute of Technology from 1999 to 2003. Later, from 2015 to 2017, they pursued an Executive MBA in Business Administration and Defense Acquisition at the Naval Postgraduate School. Finally, from 2020 to 2021, they earned a Master of Science degree in Joint Campaign Planning and Strategy from the Joint Forces Staff College, National Defense University.
