Dr. Greg Lewis

Senior Research Associate at Joint Special Operations University

Dr. Greg Lewis, DBA, currently serves as a Senior Research Associate at the Joint Special Operations University since December 2023 and has been a Professor of Management at St. Petersburg College since August 2018. Prior to these roles, Dr. Lewis held the position of Vice President - Global Risk Operations at Citi from January 2017 to December 2023 and worked as a Special Operations Intelligence Officer for the United States Department of Defense from June 2013 to January 2017. Dr. Lewis also gained experience as a Senior Intelligence Officer and Program Manager at CACI International Inc. from August 2009 to May 2013 and served as a Senior Intelligence Advisor in Special Operations Intelligence for the United States Department of Defense from March 2000 to July 2009. Dr. Lewis earned a Doctor of Business Administration from the University of Florida (2017-2020), a Master of Science from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (2006-2008), and a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and Management from Saint Leo University, along with completing the USAF Air Command and Staff College program (2015-2016).

The Joint Special Operations University (JSOU) provides education to Special Operations Forces (SOF) and to people who enable the SOF mission in a joint environment. In addition to the regular courses taught at MacDill Air Force Base (AFB), JSOU routinely conducts both regular and tailored off-station activities for SOF units worldwide by means of remote or on-site instruction, DL courses, and via video tele-instruction (VTI). Vision USSOCOM's "Think-Do Tank" - Center for Special Operations Thinking. Mission JSOU prepares SOF professionals to address strategic and operational challenges, arming them with the ability to think through problems with knowledge, insight, and foresight.
