Dennis Mwangi Muraya

Dennis Mwangi Muraya has extensive work experience in the field of software development and technical leadership. Dennis is currently working as a Senior Technical Developer at Jonah Group since December 2021. Prior to this, they worked at DLL as a Senior Software Developer from October 2019 to December 2021.

In 2019, Dennis also worked at MOSS Consultants as a Senior Software Developer from April to September. In 2018, they held the position of Senior Software Developer at both Myplanet (October 2018 to March 2019) and HelloGbye (May 2018 to September 2018).

From 2013 to 2017, Dennis worked at Digital Savanna Limited as a Lead Developer. In this role, they were responsible for architectural design, technical delivery, and developing solutions to complex business problems. Dennis also served as a technical team leader and solution evangelist.

Prior to that, Dennis worked at Mahindra Comviva as a Senior Engineer in Mobile Financial Solutions from July 2011 to December 2012. Dennis also gained experience as a Systems Developer in Mobile Commerce Solutions at Homisco from November 2010 to February 2011.

Beginning their career, Dennis worked as an Information Technology Specialist at HTSPE/Matrix Consortium from November 2006 to September 2010. Dennis also worked as an Applications Developer/Analyst and IT Technical Support on contract at Duke Center For International Development (DCID) from October 2005 to March 2006.

Dennis Mwangi Muraya has an extensive education history which includes various degrees and certifications. Dennis obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from Egerton University, attending from 2000 to 2005. Dennis then pursued a Master's Degree in Strategic Management at the University of Nairobi, studying from 2013 to 2016. Subsequently, they earned a Master's Degree in Information Systems and Technology from the University of Liverpool, completing their studies from 2016 to 2018. In addition to their degrees, Dennis has obtained several certifications. Dennis became a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) from Strathmore University in 2007. Furthermore, they hold certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals and Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate from Microsoft, both obtained in 2023 and 2021 respectively. Dennis also acquired the Advanced Certified Scrum Developer and Certified Scrum Developer (CSD) certifications from the Scrum Alliance in 2021. Lastly, they have the Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA non practicing) certification from ISACA and the ITIL certification from EXIN.
