Monique Baril

Monique Baril has over 20 years of work experience in various roles. Monique started their career in 1999 as a Composer and Audio Designer at Magitech Corporation. From 2001 to 2004, they worked as a Senior Bilingual Conference Operator at Accutel Conferencing, where they facilitated conference calls and provided technical support for web conferencing products.

In 2004, Monique joined Bell Conferencing as a Bilingual Web Conferencing Coordinator and later became a Billing Analyst and Team Lead. During their time at Bell Conferencing, they developed a web billing application and received an Accolade award for its successful deployment.

In 2008, Monique transitioned to a Quality Assurance (QA) role, starting as a Senior QA Analyst at Indigo. Monique was responsible for developing and implementing automation test frameworks and scripts using Selenium. Monique then became a QA Team Lead, overseeing the QA effort for retail and marketing projects. Finally, they served as a QA Manager, leading a team and transitioning them to an automation-oriented approach.

Since 2018, Monique has been working at Jonah Group, initially as a Technical Developer for the Synergent Corp project. Monique participated in the development of the Synergent BI and Concierge applications. Currently, they hold the position of Senior Technical Developer and is involved in the development of RouteOne's Credit Application System. Monique collaborates with product teams, develops new features, investigates and fixes defects, conducts code reviews, and guides the testing process.

Throughout their career, Monique has gained expertise in various technologies such as Java, Struts, Spring, JavaScript, JUnit, Angular, REST, Hibernate, Oracle, WebSphere, and Maven. Monique has also demonstrated strong leadership skills, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to quality assurance.

From 1998 to 2004, Monique Baril attended York University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree. During their studies, their academic interests were focused on both Computer Science and Music.
