Sofia Soares Franco

Sofia Soares Franco is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in wine tourism and events management at José Maria da Fonseca since July 2006, where Sofia currently serves as the Head of Winetourism and Events, overseeing two wine tourism locations and a team that welcomes over 42,000 visitors annually. Previously, Sofia held the position of Institutional Communications Manager, focusing on internal and external communications strategies, as well as media relations. Sofia's earlier experiences include working as a Public Relations Trainee at NATO and as a trainee in the Directorate-General for Multilateral Affairs at the Ministério dos Negócios Estrangeiros. Educational qualifications include a degree in Political Science from Universidade Nova de Lisboa, a Master's in Security and Defence from Universidade Católica Portuguesa, a WSET 2 certification, and an Executive Degree in Social Media Management from ISEG.
