Kevin Klein began their work experience in 2005 at Wilfrid Laurier University where they held various roles including External Relations Coordinator and Associate Director of Communications and Public Affairs. In 2015, they moved on to Joseph Brant Hospital & Foundation where they served as Associate Director of Communications and Stewardship before being promoted to Director and eventually Chief Communications and Stewardship Officer.
Kevin Klein attended Wilfrid Laurier University from 2000 to 2004, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Communication Studies. Prior to their time at Wilfrid Laurier University, Klein attended Loyalist College from 1998 to 2000 and earned a Diploma in Journalism - Print. In addition to their formal education, Klein has also acquired additional certifications, including "Effective Branding For Competitive Advantage" from Udemy and "Leadership: Becoming And Effective And Dynamic Leader By Joseph Phillips" from Udemy in 2022.

Joseph Brant Hospital (JBH) is a full-service community teaching hospital located in the growing and thriving community of Burlington, Ontario. The hospital serves residents from Burlington and surrounding cities of Hamilton, Waterdown, Flamborough, Milton and Stoney Creek. JBH is one of Hamilton Niagara’s Top Employers for seven consecutive years, with a skilled staff of 194 physicians, 852 nurses, 2,062 full- and part-time staff and more than 200 volunteers. JBH is a Clinical Education site in conjunction with McMaster University, and designated as an Academic Community Teaching Hospital. Its expanded campus, including the state-of-art Michael Lee-Chin & Family Patient Tower, features an Emergency Department, 295 funded inpatient beds, and 9 Operating Rooms. JBH is also a partner member of the Burlington Ontario Health Team.
